Wedding at Bannatyne Hastings, Matt & Anne-Marie

On what must have been one of the hottest days of the year, the sun truly shone on Matt & Anne-Marie's wedding day at Bannatyne Hotel & Spa, Hastings...

...Beautiful pinks, lilacs, and blues made up the colour palette for their day, matching perfectly with the blue and pinks of the hotel garden's hydrangeas and lavendar.

It was a true family affair with Anne-Marie's family preparing for the day together, checking all ties were tied, jackets were jacketed, and Anne-Marie and THE dress stole the show.

I studied photography with Matt some ten years or so ago, and to then be photographing his wedding day was pretty special, as our old friends joined the celebrations too.

The flowers in Anne-Marie's bouquet, the grooms party button-holes, and the centre-pieces were all hand-made by Anne-Marie, and the cake was made by her talented friend to echo the flowers unique shape.

If you're wondering about the balloons, that's what happens when Star Wars fans discover the balloon-man, you get a light-saber battle, which was mostly battled over Matt.

I was spoiled for choice when choosing which photos to share, Banatynes provides so many backdrops for portraits in particular, but I think my favourite spot is on the stone steps, under the canopy of the trees which provides private, stolen moments only witnessed by the lucky photographer.

Congratulations to Mr & Mrs Dixson.
