Everything you need to know about brand story photography…

Why is brand story photography a good idea?

Firstly, these shoots help show off your incredible self, your products and service!
Secondly, as much as consumer technology has moved on, it can be a real struggle to create beautiful images for your website and social media.
Mobile phones might have 20 mega pixels and fancy lenses you clip on, but they don’t have an eye for styling and detail, selfies aren’t the same as a having a relaxed, fun and professional photo-shoot.

How do we tell my story?

When we meet up ahead of your shoot, we will talk all about you and your service or products. This helps me find out what is particularly awesome about you and what you do. We can discuss your values, how you came to start your business, what products you want to highlight and your overall strategy; this helps me form an overall story we will create together with photographs. If you’re really stuck, let me know and I can send you a helpful questionnaire before we meet to get your inspiration going!"

Do you offer product photography?

I can offer flat-lay and creative product photography, but I don’t offer ‘products on a white background’. I do this on a bespoke basis so please contact me if you’d like to discuss.

I’m not sure which package I need, help!

Let me break it down for you:
Portraits- If you just need some beautiful and modern portraits of yourself in a relaxed but quick session, this is what you need.
Full - If you’re looking to totally refresh your portraits and need photos of your workspace/how you work/a few products this is the package for you.
Quarterly - If you’re well established and want a schedule of great content ready when you need it, this is for you!

Where do the shoots take place?

The sky is the limit, or there abouts! Before your shoot we will have a chat to find out what might work best for your shoot. My style and approach to working with you and editing is very natural - think lifestyle! So, your shoot could be at your shop, your studio, or we could head to a cool coffee shop for example. We will discuss backdrops/props etc we might need ahead of your shoot so we can get stuck in.

I’m not based in East Sussex, can I still book you?

Yes, I would still love to hear from you! I mostly provide coverage to East Sussex, Kent, West Sussex but I can travel to you. Let me know where you are based during your enquiry and I will tailor your quote to include travel.

Do I have to have head-shots/portraits taken?

I don’t make you do anything you really don’t want to! However, I truly believe a big part of your product or service is you. It helps tell the story of your brand, and helps customers trust you. Simply, it puts a face to a name.

Think about these people: Annie Liebovitz, Coco Chanel, J. K Rowling. You only have to hear their name to understand what it is they do.
Or, flip it this way: Topshop, Apple, Microsoft.

All of these huge brands started with one person and one idea - I bet you all hear a name or see a face connected to them immediately. Yes they are all household names, but they put their face to their products, and people come back to them time and time again.

But I hate having my photo taken!

Surprise, so do I, and many, many, many of my clients! But honestly, I am here to put you at ease.
Hopefully this page has given you an idea of what sort of head-shots I take; I really like to keep it simple and unposed, nothing like the school photographs you might have had! We will make sure you’re feeling comfy and happy, have a little chat and I will give you small prompts as we go. Simple and natural :)

How does payment work?

Portraits & Full Story - Full payment is required on booking.
Quarterly- You will be invoiced by instalments before for each shoot.
