Intimate Wedding Ceremony at Fitzrovia Chapel | Edwina and David

WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY AT SOMERSET HOUSE

Edwina and David, with their little one Henry in tow, designed a wedding celebration around the most important thing to them: family. Carefully choosing some of their favourite London spots to share the story of their relationship with their loved ones, it was a truly perfect winter city wedding.
They started their celebration with a lunch as Spring, Somerset House for their family, before a quick change ahead of their evening ceremony at Fitzrovia Chapel and party at the In and Out Club!

GETTING READY AT THE NED

The Ned is such a gorgeous place for weddings in any measure with its cosy and classy design. Edwina got ready with a glass of champagne, calmly having her make-up and hair done, with mum on hand to help into her dress. David quickly popped in to have say hello and have a hug before we dashed for the waiting cabs to take them to their lunch destination. I used a combination of ambient light and flash, I tend to do this when lighting is low as it gives you a lovely balance of intimate atmosphere, and trendy fashion vibes!

INTIMATE DINNER WITH FAMILY AT SPRING, SOMERSET HOUSE

Edwina and David chose to have a relaxed dinner for their nearest and dearest at Spring Restaurant, Somerset House before their ceremony. They were greeted by their loved ones to such cheers of excitement, before enjoying a glass of champagne. Toasts were made, speeches were given, and much laughter was heard as they celebrated together!

WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY AT SOMERSET HOUSE

One lovely thing about having your wedding breakfast at Spring, is that you have special permission to use Somerset House for your wedding portraits! Edwina looked so incredibly elegant in her flowing silk gown and birdcage veil, David so handsome in his black tuxedo with velvet jacket. One of my super powers is getting gorgeous, stress-free portraits in 15 minutes. A small window of time where you can enjoy some time together, have a breather, in be totally in love away from the hubbub of the celebrations. We had a little wander across the courtyard, finding quiet little pockets of Somerset House to revel in the bubble of ‘we’re getting married-ness’!

WEDDING CEREMONY AT FITZROVIA CHAPEL

Following a quick change into her ceremony dress, Edwina and David met their guests at Fitzrovia Chapel for their wedding ceremony. A truly stunning hidden gem of a chapel, its Byzantine design with a glittering gold mosaic ceiling and soft light is possibly one of the most intimate and romantic places in London you could wish to get married. With soft music lilting in the air from Nero String Quartet enhancing the magical space and atmosphere.

PARTY TIME AT THE IN AND OUT CLUB

While Edwina and David headed off for a quiet drink together to celebrate exchanging their vows, guests assembled at their evening venue The In And Out Club, greeting the couple with confetti! Dancing and more bubbles soon followed, to toast the couple into their married life together!
